The hat is knitted in stockinette stitch with garter stitch on the cords, earflaps, and edge. You start by knitting the cords and then increase to earflaps, so you don't have to assemble them. The cords can also be knitted with i-cord. The pattern also includes the option to knit the hat without cords and earflaps from 12 months and up. This is a thin and nice hat that is comfortable for both babies and children.
