Knitted wear has stood the test of time. In recent years, women’s patterns have surged in number and popularity. Men, on the other hand, have fewer patterns designed just for them. It could be that there are fewer male fiber artists compared to females, which influences the pattern availability. That being said, there is always room to learn! And if knitting isn’t their thing, these patterns make for great gifts. Perfect for your husband, dad, boyfriend, brother, uncle, or just a good friend.
Here’s a tip: many women’s patterns can be adapted for men with just a few adjustments. Knitted fashion’s timeless appeal makes this possible. And even if the options are fewer for men, some patterns really stand out. Here are our top picks:
Petiteknit’s Hanstholm sweater is an essential piece for any gentleman’s wardrobe. This versatile sweater can be worn on its own or layered over a shirt. Its timeless design welcomes almost any color choice. Crafted from 100% Norwegian wool, it guarantees warmth during the cold winter months, yet remains light and soft to the touch. A definite must-have!
Hipknitshop’s Stripeday sweater is a solid pick for any wardrobe. You can’t go wrong with stripes; they’re timeless. And with its straightforward design, this sweater is versatile and pairs well with almost anything. A great staple to add to any wardrobe.
The journeyman jumper by knitwits and yarns incorporates the cable pattern perfectly. It covers the front chest panel, adding just the right flair, without overdoing it. This design creates the perfect balance between simplicity and style. We absolutely love this combination! It’s a wonderful addition for those looking to enhance their wardrobe with a touch of trendiness, yet keeping things understated.

I’m living this app.
One suggestion is could you link the yarn added in a project into the yarn stash so it doesn’t need adding twice. Also can you have an option for using two needle sizes in a project.
Hi, Sarah! So happy to hear that you’re loving the app 😊 Thank you so much for giving us feedback, we really do appreciate that and take it on board. We’re looking to revamp the needle stock, as well as integrate the yarn stock. So stay tuned!
