spring lookbook: knitter’s edition

These clothing pieces are on our spring wish list:

We are finally moving towards lighter and warmer times! Do you know what that means? We can start transitioning from heavy, warm, woollen knits – to lighter, more airy knits. We cannot wait! It feels as though these winter months have dragged on for ages, and we’re so excited to finally enter spring.

It’s time to start thinking about your spring knitting projects, and we are here to help! Whether you’re looking for something lightweight for those slightly warmer days, or something colourful and fun to brightern up your wardrobe. Just because the weather is getting warmer doesn’t mean you have to give up your favourite knitwear pieces. There are plenty of trendy spring knitwear options out there that are perfect for this season.

Cardigans are a great option for spring because they can be layered over a t-shirt or tank top for a casual, yet put-together look. Cardigan no.7 from my favourite things knitwear is the perfect lightweight, fashionable piece. It’s great for layering and can double as an extra layer for warmth on a cold day or as a jacket on a slightly warmer day. This is a piece that never goes out of style. We absolutely adore @pendlerstrik’s version – how perfect is this colour!

First up, let’s talk about lightweight sweaters. The weather in spring can be unpredictable, so it’s always a good idea to have a soft and light sweater on hand. The waffle sweater by Knitting for Olive is a great option. It has the most gorgeous eyelet ribbing pattern, which also allows for an airy light knit. It is worked from the top-down with three stands of soft silk mohair – what is not to love? Featured is @micelfagain’s gorgeous version of the sweater. This blush/pink is the perfect spring colour.

LAYERING VESTS:

Knitted vests have risen in popularity, and for good reason. They add both a touch of warm and texture to your outfit, while being incredibly versatile! They’re a great spring clothing piece as they provide an extra layer of warmth, without adding bulk. In spring, a jacket or sweater may be too much, but  at-shirt isnt quite enough – here, the knitted slipover is a perfect solution.

@mariasverden_‘s gorgeous september slipover. The perfect neutral for spring.

The amy slipover is just the perfect knitted vest for layering this spring. This is @eim.mie‘s version and we love it!

If you’re looking for a fun accessory to knit this spring, why not knit a headband? For starters it is such an easy and quick project, making it a great little project for a beginner. It’s the perfect project for using up leftover yarn from other projects, and it’s a great way to add a pop of color or spice to your spring outfit. The Stirnband by paulastrickt is the perfect pattern. We love @annidestages’s version – it’s a great lightweight spring headband!

There are plenty of trendy knitting patterns and knitwear options out there that are perfect for the upcoming season. From lightweight sweaters to cardigans and cute vests, there’s something for every style. And don’t forget about accessories – they’re a great way to add a little extra something to your outfit. So grab your needles and start knitting your perfect spring wardrobe. Welcome spring in style!

  1. How do I find the pattern for the second vest you have pictures – the one that ties on the side and has a turtleneck? Thanks.
