3 Knit Summer Tops with 3 Levels of Coverage

I wanted to share three cute knit tops for summer with three different levels of coverage. You might want to show some skin on sunny days, or have a bit more coverage for work or to wear in the evenings. Here are 3 great tops to knit this summer.

Y-Top - Knitting For Olive

The Y-top from Knitting for Olive is great for those hot days. It has thin straps and a v-neckline. It uses increases and decreases in the ribbed pattern to shape the bust. The ribbed fabric makes it nice and stretchy for a fitted but not too tight fit. Knit this up in a cotton or cotton blend for a cute, cool, summery top.

Soho Top - Caidree

The high, elegant boatneck design is great for warmer days where you still need a little coverage. This Caidree design is great for going in to the office, or an event on a warm evening. It has gorgeous details, like faux i-cord seams down the sides and a matching i-cord edge. Use two strands of fingering yarn using a cotton blend, linen, or even silk to give you a nice drape.

Underlace Top - LilyKateMakes

This top by LilyKateMakes also has a bit more coverage, with cute lace detailing over the shoulder to keep you cool. The lace also trims the neckline, which adds a sweet feminine touch. This has a lovely simple design, but with that something special to make it stand out. Knit this up in a cotton or linen yarn for a beautiful, breathable  summer top.

There is a summer knit for every occasion. I hope you could get inspired to knit one of these adorable tops. Which one would you try making?
