Base Sweater V-neck

Base Sweater V-neck is a soft and classic sweater knitted in luxurious Cashmere Mohair and Merino. It has a straight fit with a v-neck and double ribbing. The sweater is worked top down in stockinette stitch. First, the back piece is worked back and forth. Stitches are then picked up along the cast-on edge of the back piece for each front piece, and the front pieces are worked back and forth separately with increases to shape the V-neck. When the front pieces measure the same length as the back piece, the front and back pieces are joined, and the work is continued back and forth for a short section with further increases for the neckline. The body is then worked in the round and finished with double ribbing. The sleeves are worked by picking up stitches around the armhole and knitting downwards in stockinette stitch, and are finished with double ribbing. Finally, stitches are picked up for the neckline, which is worked in double ribbing with decreases and increases to shape the v-neck at the center front.
