The cardigan is worked top-down using one strand of Highland Wool and one strand of Cashmere Mohair. All edges are knitted using a single strand of Highland Wool. The back is worked first as a rectangle, then increases are made towards the bottom of the armhole. Next, stitches are picked up for each shoulder separately and worked down to the bottom of the armhole with the same increases as the back. The stitches are then placed on the same needle, and the body is worked back and forth across all stitches. Stitches are picked up for the sleeves, which are worked back and forth with German Short Rows to shape the sleeve cap. The sleeves are then worked in the round. Button bands and the neckband are worked in double knitting at the very end.
