The Etta Tee is worked top-down in stockinette stitch. It begins with the back, which is worked flat with increases to
shape the shoulder slopes, then continued down to the armholes. Stitches are picked up along the shoulder slopes to work the left and right front flat, with increases to shape the neckline. The front sections are then joined and worked as one piece to the armholes. Underarm stitches are cast on, and the body is joined to work in the round to the hem, finished with 2×2 rib. Stitches are then picked up around the armholes to work the sleeves. The sleeves are shaped first with short rows, then worked in the round with decreases, and ending with 2×2 rib. Finally, the neckline is finished with 2×2 rib.
