The Vest is worked top-down in double rib. First you work the neck twice as long, and knit it together, then the vest is worked with a longer back with the technique German Short Rows. You increase right or left sts in pairs total of 4 times per row. When required sts is reached, you bind-off the shoulder stitches, and the front/back piece are worked separately. When desired length is reached, the pieces are joined together and rest of vest is worked in rounds. On each side of the front piece there’s a section with increases and decreases to give the vest a feminine flair. When reached desired length, bind-off with italian bind-off. For a nice finish, you’ll pick up sts to work an i-cord edge around the armholes and zipper.
