The cardigan is knitted from the bottom up in a beautiful pattern, back and forth on the needles. Knit the sleeves separately in stockinette st and knit together with the torso from the wrong side. The stitches are picked up for the buttonholes and knitted at the end. A beautiful bonnet in the same pattern as the cardigan. Work back and forth before dec in the back. Sew on the strings or silk ribbon to tie. The bloomers are knitted from top to bottom with fine picot edges. The top edge is knitted down and short rows are used in the back for a good fit. To make leg openings, work front and back piece back and forth separately with dec for leg openings. The front and back pieces are knitted together in the crotch.
